I don't know what was wrong, but I just had my bed temp drop out as well. I usually run the bed temp at 98... it was down to 38. I've been printing pretty steady since the beginning of July with 0 problems. I was just looking at the back of machine, I blew on it, and the bed started to heat up again. Should I put a fan on the back?

SD3 Bed heater failure

Hi All,
My new SD3 bed heater stopped working and I was looking for some help.
I have never had the temperature of the bed set over 85c and have gone through
approx. 1/4th of a 2lb spool of ABS.
After a quick look, the bed resistor is at 53.2kohms and I do get 12vdc (unloaded) out of the
controller. my guess is the resistor or heater is bad and would only produce 2.71mwatts of power at 12vdc.
