ok so i'm currently calibrating the extruder and i'm pulling about 23% to much plastic, i went filament settings> extrusion multiplier> 1 and it didn't change anything! i tried changing it to .82 and it didn't change how much extra i was pulling at all! i even set it to .5 and that didn't change it either! i don't really know how to use adrunio or anything so i'd like to just use the "fudge factor"if possible, i have a hunch this is causing some of the little issues i'm having with my prints...

alright i can do that! well one issue i'd like to resolve is like slowing down the printer when you print something with like a point at the end of the print? i used the .223 mock round as a test for this and it runs really well up to the point when its finishing the very tip where it doesnt allow even close to enough time for cooling before moving on to then next layer, which is understandable because its a very tiny radius. i already have settings in to slow down small radii and external perimeters, is there a way to slow down super small tips even more without making it slow down printing to much?

also it seems that my .1 mm setting doesnt run as "smooth" as my .3mm which it was set up in. its like it tries to jam to much plastic through and it ends up grinding through the line of filament. this has lead to a few disappointing mornings where i woke to find my printer finishing up the G code for a high detail print without any plastic running through it will calibrating the flow of plastic --or how much plastic the machine draws-- fix this? it seems that .2mm layers run ok, but sometimes have similar problems.

updating RH from the 85b you are on won't necessarily help your prints the key is in setting your config to match the printer and the filament being used at that time... perhaps you could post up some pics and we could give advice on how to make them better if possible

i've been working with my printer for awhile now, and i'm getting some really nice prints, but i'd like to really get perfection, and i'm thinking that updating my firmware to the latest version should help. when i see videos of people working on there printer they have a more "colorful" viewing window, mine looks like this: i went through a very lengthy proccess with downloading adrunio and all that, and in the end i emailed solidoodle and they told me the repetier i had was the most up to date one? i don't think i believe them on that one since the firmware update does indeed come from their website. unless its horribly out of date, i have a feeling i need to still update my firmware. I'm running windows 8 on a lenovo laptop if that helps at all, and i have a solidoodle 3. i never got adrunio to port the firmware over to the printer, any help with that?
