Repitier-host runs great on my Macbook pro OSX 10.6
also runs great on windows XP64 desktop machine

This is a concern! Unfortunately I'm not an expert on troubleshooting repetier issues yet. I could be that it was not made with Windows Xp issues in mind.

Has anyone had any problems with this on windows xp? everytime i try to start it up it just says it has encountered an error and closes
