I set my extruder between 145C and 155C [I use gcode M302 to disable cold extrusion prevention]. Most prints stick to my glass bed fine (65C), but sometimes I user painters tape (I've printed with the bed cold when using tape).

The problem with the tape is that if the print is flat (like a box lid) it can be really difficult to pull the print off after it's complete (often times I end up having to pull the tape off with the print).

Bonjour, @mcbride19 et question.

Pourquoi souhaite tu utiliser le PLA ? j'ai eu la même idée que toi au début, la voie écologique du matériau naturel, recyclage et tout un tas d'autres choses bien nobles, cela dit penchons nous sur sa fabrication et son origine (le débat peut être long).

pour moi et jusqu'a ce qua ça m*erde c'était au final 180 ° extrusion et 60 lit le tout sur verre + laque, mais j'attends de remonter la tête aprés nettoyage pour me prononcer...
Je n'avais pas tant de problème avec l'ABS.....

Pour moi qui utilise que du PLA avec grand succès, c'est sur du verre, avec laque à 65° extrusion à 195° sur mon SD2

OK il y avait encore quelques problemes de décollement quand j'imprimais sur toute la surface du lit.
En fait en rajoutant un brim de 2 mm(par défaut les .ini fournit dans l'install de solidoodle n'en mettent pas)et en ne chauffant plus du tout le lit c'est résolu.

OK I've just made a test with 175 ° and 63 °(extruder and bed).
Glass bed with just a little bit of hairspray, it seems to work but not very well , so I have decided to modify a little bit the y axis because the lines printed was not so flat, and ....... it works !!!!

It seems that PLA needs more precise temperature than ABS and also a more precise calibration of the Y axis.

Pfiouuuuuu !!!! I can breathe again.....

It was important for me to have a good(or perfect if it's possible) contrrol of printing both PLA and ABS.

How I print PLA:

Bed at 65°C
Use 3M "Blue Painters Tape" (or I guess that would be Tape, Painters, Blu ) on the bed. This is what the PLA sticks to.

For the extruder tempreature, I use between 165° to 180°C depending on the PLA I am using.

PLA is a lot more viscous than ABS, so you will have more 'oozing'... I need more retraction for PLA than I do with ABS.

I also found slowing down my print speed helped a lot.

Because of the different properties of PLA vs ABS, you will need to recalibrate to work out the multiplier to use with the PLA filament - My PLA multipliers tend to be much higher than I use for ABS.. So go back to '1' and re do the calibration cubes to get the correct multiplier (probably .85 -> .9 ).

J'ai reçu mes piéces pour tetes Jhead et ma ramps 1.4 ...
Pour la carte mères c'est pas préssé on verra plus tard mais par contre pour le PLA je suis paumé .

J'ai monté , donc , une tete exprés pour le PLA , j'ai fait le test m303 s200 et rentré le PID.
Jusque là tout va bien , je lance le lit a 85 °, je lance la tete a 185° et dés que la tete est a temperature je lance un tests d'extrusion, ça extrude oui, mais le filet qui sort est, au moins, moitié moins gros en diamètre que celui de l'ABS ... ?????

Je tente une impression tout de même et là c'est horrible juste de petit filament qui sortent et qui collent un coup sur 2 on dirait que le Y est mal réglé .... Qu'est-ce que j'ai fait de mal ou bien qu'est-ce que je n'ai pas fait ????

J'ai eu beau lire le guide pour PLA sur le forum mais ça ne m'a rien apporté comme soluce ......
