			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>You can also get fiberglass fabric at a lot of hardware stores for patching holes in things like tub surrounds or boats. As long as it isn&#039;t adhesive backed, the fabric itself should handle about 540C. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Just as an aside... order a spare GrooveMount and 36mm barrel.&nbsp; You never know when you&#039;re going to need one and the $35 is a cheap insurance policy if you ever truly gunk up your hot end.&nbsp; You just switch out the heater and nozzle and you&#039;re up an running in less than an hour.&nbsp; It&#039;s helped me keep going.</p><p>That and shipping isn&#039;t any more for the extra parts.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>It&#039;s there for the benefit of the thermistor,it holds the heat in so the thermistor gives you an accurate reading of hot end temp.</p><p>If the fiberglas isn&#039;t torn I&#039;d just wrap a turn or two of electrical tape around it and see if it lasts.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Thanks for the information. the abs s not leaking, it was a 40mm fan duct&nbsp; around the hot end that melted&nbsp; and bonded to the rubber. Is this just a insulator? can i replace it with something else or where can i get the rubber coated fiberglass?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;ve had my nozzle off quite a few times to soak it in acetone to prevent clogs.There&#039;s a fiberglass sleeve that goes over the nozzle and a couple of layers of 1/4 kapton tape that hold the thermistor in place,there&#039;s not much else there.</p><p>I don&#039;t know if there&#039;s anything you can sub for the insulator if it&#039;s been torn,others here might know.</p><p>This video will show you what you&#039;re dealing with.</p><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/57632515">http://vimeo.com/57632515</a></p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Rubber coated fiberglass.&nbsp; The bonding is probably from plastic leakage from the hot end where the nozzle screws onto the barrel, or from the PEEK/Barrel join.&nbsp; Is it at the top of the brass barrel or near the bottom by the nozzle?</p>]]></content>
