I'm making a similar mount for my iPhone, I'm mounting it to the fan slots next to the steering wheel, should be easier to see there but it is more challenging to design.

There are very few places I could safely mount the tablet other than a suction cup on the windshield, but I do not want to put an obstuction there, so I chose to make a fixture to use the cup holder in the console. This device holds the tablet at a fixed 15 degree angle. It prints "dirty" due to some overhangs, but cleaned up enough to be functional. I plan on redesigning the device so that it prints cleaner, and allows the angle tyo be set. If anyone wants the current design, I will post it, but I reiterate that it requires a LOT of clean up in its current state. It consists of two parts, the cup holder "plug" and the nexus holder.
