My 2c: when I first got printer, I quickly switched to a glass plate (just went to picture frame shop and asked them to cut; nothing fancy, just plain glass, clipped on just 2 corners to allow for some expansion). That works wonders (using it with hairspray at 100C for ABS, and without at 70C for PLA). Next thing that made a big difference for me was bed leveling and adjustment. For ABS, I go significantly closer that the Solidoodle wiki suggests; with ABS not a problem, with PLA might clog nozzle. Worth trying a, say, 1/6 turn on your z endstop screw. Finally, couple of days ago I built an enclosure (after covering printer with a blanket propped up on an overturned stool convinced me that its really worth it) and, with that, even the trickiest prints (before) are routine (eg an iPhone case I designed, which long and thin, filling the entire diagonal, was almost impossible to print before, but now it's easy). Good luck!

I am guessing you mean "warping" which is coming about from layers of ABS cooling at different rates. Not sure what you mean by the pad and clothespin. But if you are trying to enclose the SD then that is the right direction to go.

Hi, i've just bought an SD2.
I've made few tries, but i've get warping issue on large box.

I've tried to clean klape with acetone, tried to get the SD more isolated, tried different temperature printbed (from 60 to 110).
But i've still get warping with 0.3 print after 50-60 layers (sometimes it happen later). Tried with different resolution (from 0.1 to 0.4, tried also to play with first layer speed)... (i've already set the Z axis)

Hard to find a good configuration.

I'm actually trying adding pad on my stl, but after few layers, two of the pad started warping .
I tried to add clothespin on the pad (the main structure -> a box) isn't warped yet.

Is there a way to stop warping with ABS on large print?
