It also seems to be a new method of packing because I've seen an unboxing a month ago and it didn't have them.

Anyway, all is good

So in summary for anyone with a new SD3, the 4 zip ties at the top of the frame ARE meant to be removed, but NOT the one around the extruder/print head!

Hi guys,

I just received my Solidoodle 3 and I stupidly cut the zip tie that was around the extruder, thinking that it was to secure it for packing.

Could someone post images of their extruder with the zip tie in place so I can replace it? Specifically I need to see where it should go at the bottom part of the extruder, so a side view would be great.

Incidentally there were 4 other zip ties tying the rails on either side of the printer to the frame, I assume those are meant to be removed, since they seemed to interfere with the belts anyway... Please let me know if that is an incorrect assumption...

Thanks!
