<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — USB Port is loose.]]> 2013-06-29T01:42:58Z PunBB https://www.soliforum.com/topic/2890/usb-port-is-loose/ <![CDATA[Re: USB Port is loose.]]> When the usb cord got yanked on it may have done more damage to the board then just loosening the socket, there could also be a break in some of the traces on the circuit board near the usb socket... a nice bright light and a pocket microscope are invaluable for tracing down this type of problem... as the main board is only two layers it should be repairable for someone with moderate soldering skills... also make sure and try another cord... just in case it got fouled up too. smile

I know it is probably futile but you might want to just try reinstalling the drivers once. Might work, maybe, worth a shot right?

Not as cheap as replacing the port, but if you pulled out the through-hole plating, it *might* be an option before moving to replace the whole board.

When I plug it into computer my mouse and keyboard dont work, and I cant get the printer to connect to computer.

How can I fix this?
