Its not like buying a modern car.  It is more like buying a Model T Ford.  You had to do maintenance on it daily to make it run.  3D printing is in its infancy.  We are beginning a whole new age of life now.

or a peeloff layer/label on top of the kapton that says remove 'this' sticker before use... but then again some people would be printing on that sticker....

seriously, i 100% agree with OP, i find it hilarious when people post youtube videos or blog posts about very basic common problems and rant about design flaws and broken stuff. sure, the printer doesn't come 100% set up and including all the helpful ad dons that the community has come up with, but that's half the fun of this hobby! if you need everything spoon fed to you... or if you have EVER called tech support because your computer was unplugged and it wouldn't turn on, then 3d printing is not for you. go back to your macbook and iphone, and check back in 10 years or so when 3d printers work like inkjets.

in the mean time, us early adopters and innovators will continue shaping the future for you.

I know about the hairspray and the elmers glue.  Yet I find it incredulous that there are some owners out there that think their printer is defective based solely on the fact their parts are no longer sticking.  So they have placed their printer on a shelf and declared their printer broken.

The other part I find humorous are the owners whom have not printed out a backup print head mount.

My printer is not hear yet, yet I already have a good grasp from research of what I must get done when it gets here.

I just say if you print in ABS, have your bed heated up fully & make sure it (the bed) is cleaned with acetone between each print. Do that & it solves a lot of adhesion issues. (Assuming you have leveled, tweaked & set your first layer height, speed, etc.)

Printing in PLA requires sprays & whatnot, but I don't know much about that. I've never touched the stuff!
