It has how to preserve your existing SD limit switch connectors and expand the 12V supply the RAMPS offers (hence the sidecar board made from simple strip-board and some headers)

I admit to being prodded along by lawsy's post (even commented in there I'd pull my finger out), But lawsy's approach is a bit different anyway and supersize-me's the fan - mine sticks to the 40/50mm in the kits and accomodates the Smart LCD adapter and Fan Extender...

Similar to Lawsy, I a while ago converted to RAMPS. I never got around to posting up the bodgy bracket I had, but in the past day I've been writing up a new how-to on converting your SD to use RAMPS, so I made a newer one.

It differs from lawsy's in that it uses the typical 40/50mm fan, has a clipon/off bracket for it, and accomodates the use of the Smart LCD adapters and RRD Fan-Extender (the two white boards in the pics).

This features a small inset to house a sidecar board that I use to convert the limit switches and provide about 10 12'v connections for always on stuff like LEDs and Fans.. but more on that in the how-to.

It bolts to the existing Sang holes on the SD, and then you can use either bolts, screws or even zip-ties to attach the RAMPS to the bracket. All of the above methods work quite reliably (ask me how I know )

The fan mount is clipon as it provides easier access to stuff, and many of the RAMPS kits come with 40 or 50mm fans - I have both as well so have made a Clipon for both.

Attached are the STL's and Sketchup, I'll also post it up on Thingiverse.
