			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I am having similar problems. On the first layer too much filament is extruded so I turn the flowrate down to between 50 and 70% in repetier. I then turn it back up to 100% when it isn&#039;t extruding enough filament (usually in layers 1 to 4)</p><p>I also set it to do only 1 solid layer on the top and bottom.</p><p>I have found that setting the infill to less than 1, i.e. 0.9 or 0.8, doesn&#039;t extrude too much filament but is still &#039;solid&#039;. </p><p>I am using slic3r 0.9.9 too. I think it&#039;s still a little buggy.</p><p>For your reference, here is my config file for solid at 0.3mm layer height. At least I think it is, slicer wont seem to let me export configs <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/hmm.png" width="15" height="15" alt="hmm" /></p>]]></content>

That the printer is putting out just a little too much plastic than it should.</p><p>Here is my setting, what should I change to make less plastic come out.<br />Diameter 1.7<br />Extrusion multiplier .79</p><p>Infill Density .2</p><p>Extruder temp 195<br />Bed temp 95</p><p>What is the difference between infill density .1 and 1?</p><p>Is there a post or website that describes and explains all the setting in slic3r or repetier?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>In slicer 2 things are important:<br />Infill density<br />Extrusion multiplier</p><p>The extruder calibration and extrusion multiplier effect how much plastic is put down. If the product of the 2 puts out more plastic than printed volume you run into problems when doing solid fill. If your infill is less then 1, then too high value of extrusion multiplier and calibration of extruder will result in higher density part but you may not see &quot;bumps&quot; etc.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I just printed another cube with .8 density infill and solid infill every 1 layer and the cube still looks the same. The top is bulging up. Like the printer added an extra layer of infill on the top. I will see if I can get a picture of it tomorrow when I have some time.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>5mm is pretty small.. its probably just over heated the plastic. Got pics ?</p><p>Try printing 2 of them spaced reasonably apart on the bed - will take longer each layer that way and may reduce the warpage.</p><p>Or print a 10 or 20mm cube</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I just tried a test print. I printed a cube, with density at 1 and solid fill every 1 layers. It printed a solid cube, 5mm, but the top came out very strange. The infill on the last layer is too tall. Like the printer printed too much plastic. The middle of the cube is about 6 mm tall. Why is that?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Set your infil to be rectilinear (wont work with hexagonal).<br />Set Density to be 1.</p><p>The other setting &#039;infill every X layer&#039; is for intermixing solid/hatched infill.</p>]]></content>
