<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — FilaFab desktop filament extruder]]> 2013-05-23T00:28:28Z PunBB https://www.soliforum.com/topic/2506/filafab-desktop-filament-extruder/ <![CDATA[Re: FilaFab desktop filament extruder]]> Are you still extruding downward, or have you changed to horizontal?  Can you explain the nozzle a little more, I'm curious about the inner and outer pieces.  How is the surface of the filament turning out at 47"/min?  I've run into melt fracture before at higher speeds, which is a rough texture caused by the plastic getting compressed to quickly into the land.  It depends a lot on how gradual the slope is from the ID of the barrel into the die.

You can add links after something like 5 posts.  You can get around it by breaking them up, someone had the idea to upload a txt file with the links inside.
