Sorry for the long departure. I haven't had much time lately with work and gardening to.
I'm waiting on a resistor still. I can use the machine but it fluctuates the temp to drastically. So I picked one up just waiting for it to ship.
What little I have done Im not sure the Black RTV is the best thing to glue the bolt piece into the hot end. Its supposed to be for high temp but gets a bit soft. Maybe thats why it works in engines, swells and plugs the gap?

It got clogged because a few to many times letting ABS cook in it. So I took it apart and put it back together. Well the kapton tape holding the little sensor crapped out. Brown goo rolling out of the black piece. Well, I knew that was no good so I stripped it back down and decided I was going to have to replace that white piece. I thought about epoxy but then I saw some old machine screws I have in a can. The screw is almost the perfect size so I cut a piece long enough to go all the way down to the brass and drilled a hole thru it. Cleaned up the ends and tapered the top end.
I slid it 3/4 of the way in and then put some black RTV on the last few threads and pushed it in then let it sit over night.

Only trouble I have had with it is my hole is a bit to big, didn't have the right size bit.

I thought heat might be an issue but it hasn't so far.

I can say one thing interesting that has come out of this, I"m putting on the MK4 Jigsaw extruder with the quick release. About to start that in just a minute.
