So it just pushed it right out with the threads and all? did this ruin the threads? if so what temps were you running?

]]> https://www.soliforum.com/user/1484/ 2013-05-22T02:03:17Z https://www.soliforum.com/post/23595/#p23595 <![CDATA[Re: Where to get replacement Nozzles and Barrels?]]> Thanks guys.  I went ahead and ordered some of the bighead .35mm from makergear and their 36mm taper barrels at both ends.  They are 6mmx1 which appears to be right.  I did get a response from Solidoodle and apparently the .40mm offered on the site is the replacement they are suggesting as it is less prone to clogging.  I'll let you guys know if it works out.  They should be here Friday.

the idea was to cut the threaded rod to suit (38mm from memory?)  and stick it into an upright drill and drill out the centre bore... you would get 5 barrels for next to nothing from one 200mm rod.

the only other concern was the tapered lead in at either end of the barrel. I did plan to see if this would be a problem if this was omitted from the barrel.
I still have the rod so may well cut and drill it to see if its possible.. finding time is the problem at the moment...

cant help with the nozzle, but I'm sure I saw several on the web when trying to find the brass barrell.
