Still the same deal, but I want to buy my mill soon.

(Originally asking $750 shipped, dropped to $575 shipped and that's the lowest it will go. I may get an RMA from Solidoodle in the next few days (requested one Saturday) so the deal may be over before anyone is ready to buy anyway)

Before I get another message asking me, no, I will not consider $500 shipped. Nor any other price below what I mentioned above. I am already losing money. Mind you, I know that values depreciate, but let's be honest with ourselves here, I am offering much more than the stock SD2 Pro (basically an expert) that has had issues addressed & is printing okay. Now, why wouldn't that be worth the cost of the standard SD2 with shipping to have it at your door in a couple of days?

Please stop sending me these ridiculously low offers.

Price updated. Shipping is still included.

$575 Which means you are getting this SD2 as described above for roughly $530, ready to print (after the shipping related calibration!)

I promise to fully support the print bed & gently pack everything with bubble wrap.

FYI, thinking about it, you are getting the SD2 without the wait, the lead screw has been replaced & the anti-backlash fix is in place & you get a $50 (cost) heavy duty (1/4" thick) acrylic case for $30 more than it cost me with shipping from SD.

Up for sale is my Solidoodle 2 Pro (Customized).

Why? I honestly don't feel like printing anymore. I want to get back in to CNC milling, routing, etc. This was fun, it was definitely a learning experience and I do eventually plan on getting back in to printing as the technology progresses & things like the Gigabot come down in price.

What you get in the original Solidoodle box:

-The Solidoodle 2 Pro model.
-Half of a spool of Octave white ABS 1.75mm Filament
-The custom enclosure (modeled after cmetzel's design, but beefed up with 1/4" acrylic panels & insulating strips)
-A straight Lead Screw installed by me, from Solidoodle
-The spring loaded Z anti-backlash fix applied (between the lead screw & this, banding is much better now!)
-8 Binder clips & a 6" glass mirror (circular for center of the bed prints in a pinch)
-Plenty of bubble wrap & insurance applied to the UPS shipping.
-Have it within 5 UPS shipping days instead of 6-8 Solidoodle weeks!

Basically it's a Solidoodle Haxpert model. It's not their enclosure, it's better. (I think so, less restrictive, but keep the heat in)

Everything is in working order, the Kapton tape has a few bits missing, but you're likely going to use glass anyway. I print with the kapton damaged and it doesn't really cause any issues, the damage to the tape is small enough that the filament lays across the small gap without drooping in and when kept clean with acetone, my prints always stick and with the case on, they don't warp &/or peel up at the corners like they did before the case mod.

The bed heats up per normal SD2 resistor heating times, the extruder is quick to heat. The firmware has been tweaked to extrude at the proper feed rate and the bed doesn't have any real warping to it, it's fairly straight as far as my Starrett straight edge can show me. (My eyes are good!)

Here's a picture of the SD2 with the enclosure on:

No, the top is not hinged on, but I preferred it to be removable for ease of access.

You're getting an SD2 that's been tested & put through the motions.

$575 Shipped the same day (Monday-Friday) that the money goes in my Paypal.

Thanks for looking!

(Shipping is included in the amount anywhere in the USA, lower 48 -- costs around $45 UPS in the USA, Canada will be considerably more as I would have to ship it USPS to save you horrendous brokerage fees.)
