I just got a 12V 300W to be done with it.

I have, but if you've read my Thermal Images post, you'll see I much prefer using a ceramic tile due to its much greater thermal mass. Both I just clipped over the top of the PCB.

The PCB Mk2 has a hole in the very center to poke to thermistor through allowing you to connect it directly to the glass/tile. Its then just a matter of selecting the appropriate thermistor type in the firmware - in my case it was just the typic EPCOS 100k... Temps then appear in RH as per normal. As its directly connected to the glass/tile, I usually take 5° off the bed temps I'd use with the standard bed.

Was planing on upgrading the heated bed of my SD3 as soon as it arrives and have already got a QUBD 200 x 200 heater and a 12v 20a power supply. I noticed the Helios is really flat as apposed to the QUBD one and wondered if anyone is using it in their SD and if it works well?

Smitty
