Hi guys thanks for your help. DynamechGT you were right, the limit switch is working but it was not being pressed in far enough by the print head. So the back part of the print-head assembly was hitting the bushing before the limit switch engaged. I have made a temporary fix with a piece of cardboard to push to limit switch in for sure! Happy Printing!

Hi I am having trouble with my X-axis motor on the SD2.

I can control it normally using manual control, as well as disabling it when I physically push the X-axis limit switch on the RHS of the SD2 with my finger. However when I hit the Home button in Repetier, the print-head moves to the far right and then even though it has hit the limit switch, the X-motor continues to turn, causing a grinding sound to occur. The drive-belt seems fine and the limit switch is definitely working. The printer dimension settings in Repetier are also correct. Its doing my head in and I am not quite sure what to try next?? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have uploaded a video of the issue...
