I threw a few bucks at the upgrades and media - 5Kg for $100, z-rods mod - $50, LCD/sd-card - $150, so my assembled BIG 12"x16"x10" should help with their margins a bit. Also getting the Filastruder, the Doodle3D Wi-Fi print server, and the Photon3D scanner. Just got to love us noob's huh?  Now - I just need a good replacement for Tinkercad (dang it).

Nice looking printers.  I will say this though.  Solidoodle can promise you a printer for $500. 

These guys can promise you one if their kickstarter goes and they are able to get things up and running and still have cashflow by the time they do all that and get to your place in the queue.  For all that "maybe", they should be promising a nicer printer than Solidoodle.  You are gambling that you'll get it so there should be a payoff.
