(I need to trim the gearbox shaft but that's not the whole problem)  My kit had the dewalt 7/16 deep impact socket, looking at the instructions for 2.1 it show a normal short socket, do I need to switch?  Also, if anyone could give a total length measurement for the auger that'd be great.
