I think the update link doesn't work anymore, so the only way is to install from github and build. I've asked Uriah a couple of times for different things now, but no reply. So I'm assuming this is a dead project.
Your laser and motor problems sound like something isn't attached or connected properly. This could be a few things:

- Motor not connect properly via the little plugs. Can you check with a multimeter that any voltage is seen anywhere?
- Check ribbon cable to PI from the board, and again are there any voltages?
- Same with the lasers - are they connected correctly and what voltages are you seeing?
- Perhaps the controller chip is dead, and may need replacing.

See what you can find.

I have got to this point and need some help.

The kit is fully built and connected (and accessible) via wifi.
The check for update link does not work.
Camera functions correctly
Both Lasers do not turn on
The stepper motor does not turn on

To get to this point I have
--Replaced the SD card - the pre loaded software did not work and I was unable to write to the card using etcher or disk utility on MacOS
--Bought an 8mega pixel pi cam as there was no camera included in the kit
--Upgraded the power supply from the 5V 2.5A to a 5V 4A

Does anyone have any ideas of what I should try next?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated
