<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — quarantine w/ solidoodle 2]]>2020-11-19T04:01:54ZPunBBhttps://www.soliforum.com/topic/18779/quarantine-w-solidoodle-2/<![CDATA[quarantine w/ solidoodle 2]]>hello everybody, it's been a while that I've found a Solidoodle2 + some rolls of PLA filament in a Salvation Army thrift shop ("Brockenstube" in Swiss German), but it's only now that I'm in quarantine having tested positive for COVID that I've connected it to an old laptop and started to print stuff and tinker around with several software - like: antiprism (polyhedra), g'mic (elevation3d), Slicer3d (medical imaging), mandelbulber (3d fractals)... Tomorrow my quarantine will be over and I'll go to Basel to get me some TPU filament from the digitec shop (+ a RaspberryPi for OctoPi). I intend to print me some fine molds from images used as heightmaps by g'mic to cast some psychedelic stucco - something in the way. Maybe I've still got a touch of fever - but I'm totally enthusiastic about the possibilities of 3d printing right now...
