It probably has no firmware in it, only a boot loader. So no matter what buttons you push it is not going to boot. You need to load firmware in it through JTAG using the correct programmer for the boards processor.

Then switch J2, the printer operates as normal, I’ll keep digging.

Typically there is no way to reset firmware on any printer without flashing a fresh factory copy to the machine.

No sd card in this one, only a small switch with J2 on it.
