I also have COPD, and will be sticking with the FDM printing - that does not bother me much, if at all. (i realize everyone is different, so what does not bother me may bother someone else)

Fumes are bad for somebody like her. You would need a filtered enclosure. As for lithophanes it all depends on the machine, settings, and resin. I have never tried one on a SLA but I  am sure it's been done.

If you are thinking of getting one there is an entire new learning curve as in relearning everything you know about 3d printing. Also the parts are usually very brittle and not good for functional or structural parts.
