I know Heartless hates Facebook groups, but there are several Ender groups out there and in the file sections they have ready made profiles that will you get you in the ball park. It may not be for your certain software but you should be able to open it in an editor and tell what the settings are. It seems something is really wrong with your slicer settings or the machine calibration. It's ok to print over USB for calibration but I would not advise doing it for long prints. The issue is that if windows updates or there is a glitch on the USB line it can lock the printers board up. If that happens while heat is on it will keep heating till something burns up. Thermal protection will not work on a locked up board. This is rare but does happens especially on Windows 10 machines that like to update and restart without your permission.

Create your STL file on your choice of slicer and dump it to an SD card. I am running directly, by USB cable, off the computer. I wonder if the printer is overriding some of the RH settings. Who has the software priority, the printer or the computer? I went away from the SD card cuz I tried to print from the factory one, and it wouldn't. I've read there have been probs with the factory SD card files.
Tin, if you read this, would you mind terribly either e-mailing or posting a copy of your settings in whatever slicer you are using?
Again, thanx for the help - I WILL get this infernal contraption working...!!!
