I didn't need it, I wanted it.

I am a 3d modeler by career and enjoy it. Now I have a chance to make stuff I can use and for family and friends. They love the stuff(Xmas gifts etc) I make for them.

I have working on my cars  until they got too complicated and dependable and built a few computers but not being a gamer it wasn't really worth wild and cost effective.

Have been tinkering all my life and enjoy it, so improving or fixing my sd2 is also a plus.

Having a carefree machine for a much more money would be a minus  to me.

So in a nut shell, I love my SD2 and have no buyer regrets and  am having a ball with it

Everyone wants one that I talk to, but until they can print something they deem as useful they won't ever justify it.  It's an expensive cell phone case maker to them.   

Sometime in the next year there will be a "killer app" or use for 3dprinting and it will go nuts.

I've gotten both kinds of responses, "That's a wast of money" and "I NEED IT" The only issue I have with some of the "I need it" people is trying to explain that it isn't always as simple as hitting print, and never having to deal with it. I just would feel bad if something happens and they can't/don't want to fix it. Or they might not like it... Then again, it isn't my money, so I guess I shouldn't care?

But lately i've been hanging out over at the defcad frum and chatroom
So far i think i've gotten 12-15 people interested in the sd3. the print bed is the perfect size
for the ar 15 30ed magazine and the ar15 lower (which i have not printed yet)

Has anyone else found they've sold printers just through talking about thier own?

alot of it seems to be the sale price. And i am fair and talk abiout the down time i've had

so who else has been selling?
