			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Picked up a DaVinci 1.0&nbsp; &nbsp;from the tip shop for 10$, thinking will be good for parts.<br />After cleaning dried gunk from the slide bars &amp; lubing it is jogging perfectly.<br />Main board says 08-2014, it has about 130 hours on the log.<br />Missing the hot-end &amp; after much researching I&#039;m glad it is.</p><p>I&#039;ll do a firmware mod initially &amp; change to a Ramps 1.6 board&nbsp; later on.</p><p>I&#039;m used to subtractive mfg, cutting chips at 12krpm so looking forward to additive making things.</p><p>I have made a model in rhino for a new carriage, first I used SC08 bearings but they are a bit chunky for the small carriage but easy to fit, decided on SF-1 0815 Teflon lined plain bearings cheap &amp; common.<br />It is designed to be made with a cutting CNC machine as I don&#039;t have a working 3D printer. <br />I plan to fit the stepper/filament feeder on the shelf where there are already Nema 17 mounting holes. </p><p> would appreciate any comment as it is wip prototype.</p>]]></content>
