If he has a 1.0, 1.0a, Aoi, they use an EEPROM in the cartridge which is what I think he is talking about. The issue is even if we exchange, the amount left in the cartridge is still written to the EEPROM by the machine so it will still show as an empty or low cartridge when it is put into another machine. These machines listed do not use RFID but instead an physical 3 pin connection.

First of all sorry if its already posted, i was finding but i didnt find it, the idea is simple, we all have the same trouble XYZ is selling 3d printers without warning about filaments, that just works with the original, in my case in my country there is no existence in the market (original PLA filament), and i have the 3d printer as an ornament (also restricted international purchases).
Back to the topic, what about to exchange the eeprom (just software) between original ones, i mean, i give you my eeprom tables and other people gives the other eeproms, it is no posible to exchange the same in the same printer coz its saved, the filament already used, but if i send my memory eeprom without being finished other people can use it in other eeproms and could work, of course if you have your software blocked to internet, how the machine knows if that eeprom was bought for you or other people.
