It can also do sharp changes like a multi-extruder by using a purge block. Wastes a bit of plastic but it works.

I've extruded quite a few multi colored rolls with my Filastruder with great success. I've found the trick it to either transition from and to like colors (green to blue, yellow to green, etc), and you can use a small handful or two of virgin uncolored pellets to purge some of the old color before transitions.

In this case, some natural colored filament should do the same trick.

So I came across the M3D Quadfusion extruder on their website. Has anyone heard anything about this?

https://store.printm3d.com/products/qua … print-head

One thing that I noticed about the PR video that is shown on the site is that they only show a vase printing. Seems easy to have the slow color changes. That happens to be the problem with all the other mixing heads that we have seen. (please correct me if I am wrong)

I noticed the other prints shown probably aren't with that print head except for one. You can't zoom in on the site but you can take a couple seconds and find the image in the source. I can see why they didn't want the image to shown in full quality.

https://i.shgcdn.com/dabf1d79-6a57-4777 … y/lighter/

Just curious if I am being too harsh on them or if this is an actual thing that I should be attempting.
