Also do not rush the wiring  do it take a break clear  your mind and inspect it do this twice if needed. Also if you have a friend  let him or her check your work.

I was expecting a few. I spent about 10hours wiring...sad to say,my only 3DP friends are only on here:/ at least I have all of you!<--very thankful for.

To my knowledge there has been no pin-out change on the various ramps itinerations .
Mainly you need to select the mega 2560 board in arduino ide  also IIRC you need to use version 1.6.7 for the LCd screen to work.

you will have to set reasonable  steps per mm based on jumpers selected and based on the drivers you are using.
end stop settings s, motor direction etc all need to be set up and when close you will need to tune the PID loop. to tue the heaters.
Also IIRC since using the relay make sure heater is set to bing bang  rather than pwm mode.
Possibly someone here who has converted a SD3 or 4 to ramps can help you with there version of the firmware

I have however built a couple  successful  folger tech kits one using a ramps board (v 1.4)

This ramps board is just a hardware upgraded ramps 1.4 board.

Heartless, Speaking of firmware I got my printer rebuilt, the only few things left I have to do is wiring, and find & configure  firmware for a RAMPS1.6+. Would you beable to help me out? i seen in the marlin firmware i used before two opitions for ramps 1.4

these boards are no cheep imports these are made in  USA . these guys make the boards for Lulzbot and Prusa among others

I have. I know i'll most likely hear about the choice i made. The reason I chose to go the route i did wasnt't the cost of the new board it was the cost if i screw something up learning, its cheaper to replace an Arduino and ramps if i was to damage it learning. I will upgrade to a better board down the road. I feel the hardware i bought will be hold up fine for the time being, Seeing how the Sang board held up as long as it did for me. RAMPS1.6+, 12864LCD, & a 30A SSR to reroute the power off the board for the HALE bed heater. Also, no more "SD3" Bare metal case. Printer is now satin espresso brown & white & satin cleared.
