(yet, he says with an evil MuhWuh-hahahaha type laugh), I have just discovered that I have a Hackspace not 5 away, so I will be looking to join them when I can get hold of someone.</p>]]></content>

There are other forms of manufacturing that sometimes are better than printing.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Thats the problem when you QT something. </p><p>I did a simple 2:8 ratio and 8:2 ratio on efficency : thermal loss </p><p>so using 20% as the basis of efficiency, the output of 80% heat is 240 Watts<br />and using 80% efficiency with 20% thermal heat is 60 Watts</p><p>the item in question is going to be thermally balanced so that its initial draw will be high but its maintaining draw would be the lower end of the scale. or in simple terms, 240 Watts to get up to temperature and 60 Watts to maintain temperature in a thermally balanced system that has active cooling to help maintain the balance.</p><p>Hope that helps.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>If the plastic is just being used as an insulator it should be fine. But if it is load bearing it could be an issue as it softens from the heat, the load will make it deform.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I guess I better see what initial tests turn up as for the thermal sink which will be various different lengths, backed up with a heatsink and fan off a computer.</p><p>I am figuring that there is a fair bit of heat given off with this item, so I was asking based on experience the best material that is out there that can withstand around 60 degrees celsius. There will be fans to help with thermal dissipation.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>PETG melts at 210 to 235. It is the only material I print with now. As for the glass transition temp it is around 80c so it may not be high enough for you.</p>]]></content>
