I do try. <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /></p><p>i hated having the spool hang on the back of the printer - it took up too much space that way. <br />I still feed it in through the stock hole in the back, but the spools above make things SO much easier to deal with.</p><p>dubbsd could basically do the same thing - spool holder above, feed down &amp; in through the stock PTFE tubing.. no need to put holes in the dome that way. <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/wink.png" width="15" height="15" alt="wink" /></p>]]></content>

All you need to do is make a small hole in the dome big enough for the filament to feed through. The clearance from the top of the dome to the extrude is enough the filament can move throughout the entire print head movement inside the dome. You could even print a small bushing to go in the hole to aid in lowering friction due to the edges of the dome.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>This is what I use, sitting on a wire shelf above the printers... <br />couple of pieces of PVC pipe I had left over, <br />some threaded rod &amp; matching nuts/washers, <br />some skateboard bearings in printed housings that fit in the ends of the PVC and some scrap lumber... <br />Spins SUPER smoothly - NO drag at all, Makes spool changes super easy</p><p><span class="postimg"><img src="http://soliforum.com/i/?yYOqQFw.jpg" alt="http://soliforum.com/i/?yYOqQFw.jpg" /></span></p>]]></content>

It also improves feed with less drag. It tie wrapped to the frame at the base.
