			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>1/2 an AMP ! What is it powering? an LED only needs at most 20mA and maybe another 20mA for the circuit.</p><p>If you happen to put a diode in that is faulty or has gone open circuit, that might account for 500mA draw, if all you are powering is an LED off it, then something is allowing a large current to ground or something may be wired wrongly so that its going in to fault mode when you try to use it as all the current is going essentially down the pan.</p><p>And, the suggestion to remove the motor to see if it is freely moving or moves is a good idea and allows you to see if the problem is a blockage (assumption made here) and could be a part binding or catching a surface.</p><p>Not having seen a filestruder, I am guessing by what you said that could be something fairly simple.</p><p>Go over in detail again, again and then again and maybe one more time with someone reading it to you and you track and follow the wiring.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>You could take the 4 screws off that hold the motor on, drop the motor off the chassis, and test it then - that would at least tell you if it spins when it isn&#039;t attached.&nbsp; If that doesn&#039;t work then try wiring it up to a 12V power source (still unattached).&nbsp; If that doesn&#039;t work either then you would know it&#039;s the motor.&nbsp; If that does work then you know to look at the stall protection board.</p>]]></content>

			<title type="html"><![CDATA[New Filastruder: Motor not moving]]></title>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hello there,</p><p>I recently purchased a Filastruder and just finished assembling it. Everything was working fine, until lo and behold, the motor didn&#039;t start turning. <br />Everything looks fine: the wiring seems okay, the fans turn on when I flip the &quot;motor&quot; switch, and the stall protection LED is blue. The only weird things are the lack of movement and the 0.5 A being drawn through the stall protection. <br />The instructions for the machine weren&#039;t the best, so perhaps I&#039;m missing something? <br />Your help is greatly appreciated!</p><p>Thanks,<br />-nerdwarrior</p>]]></content>
