OK Now i know how there sales work . I was on there site last evening and the promo code was still up. It said limited time offer but I did not realize the deadline had actually past.

Yes a copy of the ultimaker 2 and Zortak M 200 both very solid machines. from what i have seen

Not sure why you are going on about there other models as this thread was clearly labeled.

Not sure i would say marlin and repitier are interchangeable. They do he same function and most machines will accept either one.

What is your opinion on Repetier-firmware automatic configuration tool? I did not see marlin version but feels like marlin should have one too. I like Marlin's baby step function, can adjust all axis during printing.

To be honest i have not heard of any of these apparent new features . I suggests a new thread were you can epxlain these features.

Supposedly it does curved surfaces better than Repetier and that was why I changed. Of course now they both are for the most part the same function wise so it is really down to user choice. I personally also like the lay out of the configuration file in Marlin as it seems more logical in it's flow and is easier to read.

Two small disagreement on small issues.

1. MonoPrice Maker Ultimate is a re-brand of the Wanhao duplicator 6, which is based on the Ultimaker 2 design.
2. $499.99 deal on MonoPrice Maker Ultimate expired 08/01/2018.

I agree MonoPrice is rolling out lots of improved model recently, but $499.99 for ultimaker is going on on most major u.s. holidays with last promotion expired 08/01/2018, Also Maker select mini V2 is $179,Maker select V2 $279 and Maker select plus is $299 on most major u.s. holidays and last promotion also expired 08/01/2018. Therefore, if you want to buy any one of them, wait for next major holiday for promotions.

I can confirm you can load opensource repetier-firmware on Maker select V2 and opensource marlin based ADVi3++ on Maker select plus.

This printer is currently on sale from mono price. MY humble opinion is they are getting ready to roll out an improved model.

but for $499.99 on sale not a bad deal .

This printer is a Chinese more or less copy of the Zortrax M 200 and the ultimaker and is a re brand of the Wanhoa duplicator 6

The main complaint with these machines is the layer fan is useless. but an easy upgrade.
This is an open machine that is designed to take an acrylic enclosure.
This appears to be open source and parts are available through wanhoa.
So for someone looking for a a decent machine for $500 this could be the machine you are looking for .
But please do your home work and read a couple of reputable reviews.
Promo code in below link
https://www.monoprice.com/pages/3d_prin … gIl5_D_BwE
