I know this gets rid of the Gcode command to switch off the bed at job end...not sure of the effect at the beginning...anyway, give it a try.

But if I try to remove a part while hot at 65c it causes a chip in the glass. If I let it cool the part is not even stuck any more and just lifts or slides off.

You should never be removing a print from a bed that is not at room temp. This is how adhesion aids get damaged. So what if it takes a while to heat? It's not like you need to be there, do something else during that time. Get another print ready or process the one that just came off.

That's the way you do it.  I have run it this way for over 4 1/2 years with no evident ill effects.  What 'adhesion aids'?  How am I damaging the hair spray?  I have used the same piece of tempered glass since the beginning.

Same G Code that is on my other 2 machines that don't have the problem.

Speaking of hair spray... I just recently purchased a new can of Aqua Net.  Exact same can as the old one, but the actual spray now is nothing like the old one.  It now comes out in a very coarse, messy spray, not the finer mist type of the old one.  I tried changing the nozzle but they are not interchangeable.  The feed tube is bigger on the new can.  Maybe I got a bad can, may have to try another, or is there another product that can replace the Aqua Net?

]]> https://www.soliforum.com/user/6797/ 2018-06-05T09:48:26Z https://www.soliforum.com/post/144290/#p144290 <![CDATA[Why does heater now turn off?]]> Just upgraded Repetier-Host to the latest  V2.1.2.  Now the heat bed turns off when the print is finished.  The box in Printer Settings remains unchecked as it always has been.  It is somewhat annoying, cuz the heater I use now takes ~20 min to get to 65, and 40 - 45 min to get to 95.  I have always turned off the extruder, but never the heater. 
Is this a RH problem or is it  something else?  I have made no changes to the machine or soft/firmware, just the RH upgrade.
