Check the wheels on the side. He can roll it in before he builds and/or puts the printer on it.
]]>In another post, I mentioned that I have ordered a Folger Tech FT-5 R2. I didn't want to put/build it on the kitchen table, or on the floor, either. So I built a stand for it, which will shortly be moved into a repurposed downstairs bedroom.
Materials were one half-sheet of plywood (4' x 4') and four standard two-by-fours (actually 1.5" x 3.5"). It's rock-solid, and also an appliance by itself. Final volume is 48" x 48" (XY) x 24 3/4" (Z).
Using a hole saw, I put five holes through the surface, for wires to run, and attached a power strip to the side. If things go sideways, I'll be able to kill everything from one switch. Meanwhile, there won't be any clutter from power cords.
I couldn't help myself -- I had to do a 3-color stain and seal, just because.
There's also two casters attached to one side, to make it easy to move it from the main basement area to the resting place in the bedroom.
