First 3d Printer, 3d Printing noob, Computer saavy.

I just bought a used Da Vinci and used it to make 2 prints. First thing though is I'm having an issue w/ Homing Y. It tried to Home Y Before everything it does... but Y is already home. So it just sits there grinding loudly and shaking the belts around wildly.

2) How do I check for and update the FW? It's been sitting for a couple years so I don't know if it's on the newest version.

3) How can I reset the FW to stock since I don't know what the previous owner might have fiddled with.

4) What should I do to increase print quality? Is there a set of stock settings I should go with? Where would I go to get direction to tuning it?

5) Attempting to auto level fails immediately with the following error: Z Prove failed

Any help is appreciated. Ty for taking the time.
