			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Well, I couldn&#039;t leave this one alone, and got a bit deeper into it.&nbsp; Here is some information and web sites I found:</p><p>Mason Jars have changed over the years, and they exist in a variety of sizes.&nbsp; Here are some web sites that have information on jars and bottles and the type of closures they use:<br /><a href="https://sha.org/bottle/closures.htm#Masons%20Patent">https://sha.org/bottle/closures.htm#Masons%20Patent</a><br /><a href="https://www.revolvy.com/main/index.php?s=Mason_jar&amp;uid=1575">https://www.revolvy.com/main/index.php? … p;uid=1575</a></p><p>I also found this bit of information on a query regarding Mason Jar lids:<br /><span style="color: Blue">&quot;Standard jar threads are 5, 6, 8, and 12 threads per inch. The different threads are not geometrically similar. You probably are looking at the standard narrow mouth canning jar. It is 5tpi.<br />The height of the 5 tpi thread is 0.060&quot;. The radius of the thread top is 0.044&quot;. The radius of the base corner roots is 0.030&quot; max. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Thanks wardjr<br />I have to go buy one later today and do that. <br />I&#039;m a Machinest by trade and do not have a handbook handy (its at work)<br />the handbook probably gives the number of threads per inch.
