The thermistor is a very small device that depending on your model is inserted into the side of the brass heater assembly or the top of it which makes it very hard to see. It has very fine almost hair like leads that are sleeved&nbsp; in semi clear teflon. If the sleeves move which they can if disturbed, the leads can short together or short to the brass heater assembly. That too will cause the reported temp to not change which will result in not heating.</p><p>If you look at the image in this post you can just see the small wires I am talking about on the left side of the heat block just in front of the red heater core wires.</p><p><a href="http://www.soliforum.com/post/80378/#p80378">http://www.soliforum.com/post/80378/#p80378</a></p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Your thermistor is shorted. Its leads are either touching together or one of its leads is touching the heat block. Then worse case it has shorted and blown the input on the mainboard.</p>]]></content>

			<title type="html"><![CDATA[Da Vinci Pro 1.0 looking for parts]]></title>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p><p>I am looking for some parts as I am getting an issue with the heater cartridge to heat up.&nbsp; It seems to be stuck on about 20c.&nbsp; I have had a few people look at the pcb on the extruder and I have also replace the heater cartridge but I am still getting the issue.</p><p>I am now looking for a replacement extruder or some help in sorting this out...</p><p>I am in the process of making a Hypercube so I am looking at the Da Vinci thinking should I just rip it apart and work on the hypercube?</p><p>Come on guys...</p><p>I need to carry on printing...</p>]]></content>
