Sure because everyone has a resistor laying around which by the way do not have .4mm leads.    They give you a tool for this but it will only move the clog, and it will come back.

The best way is to use the cold pull to make sure you get all the old stuff out. It's tricky and takes practice but works very well once mastered. There are topics on it if you google it.

Cold pulling is a great technique especially when you do it with nylon.
