The most common issue with printers is that the logic will freeze due to a power glitch or noise on the USB cable. When this happens the controller is no longer monitoring and controlling the temperature. The unit will just keep heating to the point that the aluminum heater block will melt. The heater core will glow red hot and anything it comes in contact with such as your print, or your blue tape will burn.&nbsp; There is no short on the output side of the power supply due to the way the controller controls the heaters. The only time the fuse will blow is if the heater wires are shorted directly. This has been an ongoing issue with printers and many have installed elaborate smoke detectors linked to kill switches and so on so at the first sign of high temps the power gets interrupted. </p><p>Unless you are using some new elaborate controller that has yet to be seen then your printer will have the same issue if the logic freezes.</p>]]></content>
