The good news is the folks here have done some impressive mods and upgrades.

Plug and play does not exist in 3d printers. You got scammed by the advertising hype and probaly did not fully research 3d printers before diving in. There is no such thing as plug and play when it comes to 3d printers as of yet.

It appears that the calibration in your stock firmware is off. This and other issues such as the lock down on settings and such is the reason people flash their firmware to Repetier or swap out the electronics completely for something open source.

What I see is major over extrusion which means your machine is feeding way too much filament.
