This new scanner is far less impressive when you consider that I've had an Intricad scanner kit for a few years.
I no longer even need VRMesh to use it as it produces point clouds and you want mesh to close the object.
I've been handy with MeshLab (it's good enough for what I want).

scan 2-8 inch models in ~3 minutes. Automatically closes the model and creates a watertight file for 3d printing.
