I don't have all the components yet still gathering,  we ordered a clone for a quarter the price on the understanding it was a six-week lead.   If it works,  we'll be buying the real thing from Filistruder no questions asked.   

Motors won't be here until after the new year,  and other items...

So no rush.   Would be nice to know how to stich the heat controller  together.    Might have to go back to thermistor mode which is NBD,   the thermocouple is nice but its' not required.

I have 12 machines running broken down like this:  Mono Mini Select,  I3 2020,   TWO Taz-5, an Orion Delta and the rest are Wanho clones.     Basically we do small-scale "order-size-one" production for local businesses and the university.

The I3 I wore out basically.    In it's prime it ran circles around the premium TAZ machines in terms of accuracy.     Part of that is the kit design part of it was the person who did the original build.    I bought it because we had a financial setback and sold off part of our business,  then things picked up and we needed a machine RIGHT NOW.

As part of the rebuild we are rebuilding it with a dual-extruder so we can test various mixing and two-out heads in production.     Customers love mutli-color products (think consumer items) and engineers love multi-material structures.

Initially the questions will revolve around getting the firmware setup,  then it's down to the forum below for further questions on process and programming. 

And while THAT is underway,  we'll be building our Atlas scanner and banking for Filistruder #2!   

I was hoping not to fly completely blind on this however.     

Problem is the FolgerTech people are less than helpful when it comes to any questions about any machine other than the FT-5.     Heartless is the best of the lot of them (she's a member of my printing group on Facebook...)

Once I am home I'll dig into my firmware some and see what all I need to enable and move around and post some more intelligent questions.     I *think* I know how to enable the second motor but we'll find out won't we? 

Over the next few weeks I will be converting it to run a Cyclops Dual In One Out hot-end.       The mechanical and electrical side of the project is fairly easy.     What I need help with is the firmware.

How do I enable the second extruder drive?   I only need one temp control.

Assume I am running the "standard" Marlin firmware that FT I3 2020s run with a few tweek (thermocouple,  display  enabled.)

So where do we begin?
