their are no trim pots to adjust the V-REF.
How do i change it.
You would need to do it through the host such as RepG. I am not sure if the stock version firmware allows that setting to be accessed however. I used sailfish on mine CTC clone at first which is the same printer as what you have. I got tired of the restrictions of the mightyboard and it's unique file format. So I swapped it out for an Azteeg X3 PRO and a VikiII LCD from Panucatt devices.
]]>You want to set vref on all motors so it is just enough to move them with out binding and no more. This also helps them run cooler which will let them last longer as well.

without a bunch of testing IMHO sounds like a reasonable noise level for a machine like a 3d printer.
