			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I think the heat pad is toast.&nbsp; I was trying to read voltage across the output - pins 1 &amp; 2 - they are both positive (doh).&nbsp; From the ps to pin 1 &amp; 2 reads 12V, but the pad reads ambient.&nbsp; I should have realized earlier - RH is showing voltage going to the pad with no temp change.&nbsp; <br />I searched for a 3 hole 150mm sq pad - no go.&nbsp; Should have bought more than 1 when I got this one.&nbsp; I think I have devised a way to mount a solid pad.&nbsp; I have another undrilled piece of flat aluminum.&nbsp; I can make some mounts to sandwich a new pad between the original bed and the second piece. <br />After hooking the pad directly to 12V with no temp change, I think this one is bad.<br />Suggestions?&nbsp; Or should I just replace the pad?<br />Ski</p>]]></content>

If it was shorted and you are using ground as a reference then you will get no voltage on the SSR output.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Thanx for the response Carl.&nbsp; I do have 12V on term 2 of the relay - comes directly from the ps.&nbsp; I don&#039;t know the useable life of these relays, but I&#039;ve used the h3ll out of it for over a year.&nbsp; I see on Ebay they go for ~9 - 10.&nbsp; If I recall, I spent a lot more than 10 when I got this one.&nbsp; </p><p>Consider it a consumable.. I&#039;ll order another today.&nbsp; Let ya know how it works is a week or so.</p><p>Ski</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Do you have 12 volts on terminal 2 of the relay? Id so then your relay has died.. That is a Fotek relay which I work with a lot in my line business. There also many counterfeits out there where they buy relays with lower specs then relabel them to higher specs. You might have got a hold of one of those and have been over driving it thinking all was good.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I have an SD2 that has been modded with s SuperNight PS &amp; a SSR to control the heat to an aftermarket heat element.&nbsp; I followed Wards plan &amp; installed it a year/14 months ago.&nbsp; Been working great, heats from room temp to 97C in ~ 3 min.&nbsp; Today, it got to 61C and started to cool off.&nbsp; Checked &amp; replugged all connections - same.&nbsp; Got the meter out and found 12V from the motherboard &amp; 12V from the PS - 0V on the output side of the SSR.&nbsp; The LED on the relay is red indicating, I think, overheating.&nbsp; It&#039;s been bolted to the SD frame and hasn&#039;t given any probs in over a year.&nbsp; </p><p>Think maybe the relay has bit the dust?</p><p><a href="http://www.soliforum.com/misc.php?action=pun_attachment&amp;item=10096&amp;preview&amp;secure_str=3790f6">http://www.soliforum.com/misc.php?actio … str=3790f6</a></p><p>Just noticed red LED comes on immediately with power.&nbsp; Label reads On - Green; Oh - Red.&nbsp; I assume Oh is Overheat?</p>]]></content>
