The Uprint SE down town has a bath to devolve the support.  I would think a crock pot with the proper lye concentration would do the job nicely and a stainless steel basket would be a very good idea. The question is do you want to deal with a heated lye bath in your home or shop.

It is an open design, though. You may have issues printing larger parts in materials other than PLA.

Also, keep in mind that the only printer (to my knowledge) that truly benefits from carbon fiber printing is the MarkForged printer because it lays the fiber down in continuous strands. All other printer have carbon fiber mixed into the plastic. You are not able to truly benefit from added strength this way.

Dual extruder printing is cool, but unnecessary if your settings are really tweaked well. Soluable support material can be used with a dual extruder, but the technology is still developing and is usually pretty messy to work with.

Learn to print before trying huge prints. That is unless you never plan on printing much smaller than 12 inches in one direction .

I understand the concept of buy right the first time but  there are so many different sizes and styles of printer is is hard to have one fit every job.  Most of us in the hobby have two or three printers.

Another option you may want to consider is123dcatch it uses you phone and a free app to generate a 3d object from a series of 2d digital photos. I have a friend who is a Retired PHD college professor . He taught industrial photography. He said the results of this program rival the results from 50 k scanners. It may take a little more time but virtually no cash outlay.

There are few options for a printer of that size. As you say every printer has its challenges.  A large print nozzle can help your deposition rate. and bracing can cut the effects of vibration.

First I do understand the size and time aspect of this machine as well as the vibration. That is why I thought it would be difficult to use the dual extruder because they are only held on by magnets and would become off level. Second no I am not very experienced with 3d printing but I have knowledge with programming and software like cad. I have a friend with a couple of printers that is willing to help me learn. If I am going to spend money on a printer I want to get one that will last me a while and do what I need because I don't want to spend that much money to upgrade later because it is a lot. Also your link is broken and I am not sure what printer you are referring to if you could please tell me the name that would be great. I was thinking about enclosing the printing area if I was going to print ABS for the printing purposes as well with a charcoal venting filter. Any more help or thoughts would be great.

IMHO the t rex is not a entry level printer it is meant for big jobs  and prints will take days.

My impressions on this printer  seems like a heap of money .   but it is big .
IIRC the larges  I have seen on the market.
Carbon fiber enforced and fiberglass enforced nylons can be printed in any printer capable of high temps

I would caution you on a few things here. Understand the laws of scaling . So you are going to print a 8" cube a print that size is going to take a long time.  to print a 16" cube is NOT twice the size it is 8 times the size . so for sake of argument if the 8" cube is a 24 hour print the  16 in cube is a 8 day print.

the heat bed will draw a bit of power 4 times that of 200 x 200 bed plate.

IMHO abs prints on that printer will likely be a challenge for ABS prints that large you likely need an enclosed heated chamber.


Also in a printer that big  , especially the dual head version  you are going to get a lot of vibration  that head moving back and forth and the print bed moving oscillating with a large print you are accelerating lots of mass over and over again. so it may shake a bit.

dual extruders are nice  and do not just think dual color.  you can use dissolvable support or print flexible and stiff material in the same part.  .
IMHO that size printer is starting to stretch the laws of physics and the design limits of the prusa design..
