Heartless,
Just for grins, I used my old laptop and it did start to print. It ust be a Windows 10 issue. Luckily, I still have the old laptop.

Ggunners,
I'll look into that security feature thing.

Unfortunately, now I'm getting an error code 0014 which means I may be purchasing a new nozzle or something.
The temp is not going up past 10 degrees. I had a similar problem before when the extruder got all caked up with filament (I mean really bad). When I was trying to remove all the plastic, I broke a wire. I fixed it and it worked for a while. I have to see if the wire came off again.
I can get a new nozzle setup from XYZ for $99. I will if I have to. Can you buy parts for the Da Vinci 1.0 printers anywhere else but XYZ? I tried Ebay and Amazon but didn't see anything.
Thanks
Phil

the best I can offer is if you still have the old laptop, run the printer from that.
I have no idea about Windows 10 as I refuse to use it at this time - far too many have had issues similar to yours for me to risk it.

I haven't used this 3D printer in a while and I have a new laptop. I'm running Windows 10 and the XYZ software and it seemed to have installed properly. When I go to print, it shows the object but just hangs and freezes up my entire laptop. I have to restart the laptop to do anything else.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong.
BTW, it used to work great on my old laptop running I think it was XP.

Thanks
Phil
