If you followd the proper flash process you should be able to get nice prints. The biggest thing is calibration and making sure the steps per mm on the extruder are correct.

So far the only benefit is the lack of a cartridge eeprom.

First thing set extrusion multiplier to 1 and manually extrude 50 mm. before you extrude mark a line on the filament 75 mm from the extruder. Then manually extrude 50 mm. the line should end up 25 mm from you extruder but I expect it will be a lot closer. then adjusts the steps per mm accordingly.
The settings you mention appear to be RH software settings not firmware settings both need to be set corectly for your printer as do the slicer settings.
tin

For starters turn your max speed way down. The stock extruder can only do 50mm/s at the most snd that is pushing it. Also raise your layer temp to 220.

Hi,
I recently flashed my davinci 1.0 and installed repetier firmware. I have been playing with it for some time now, but I still won't print well at all. I've got it to stick to the bed, but after 3-4 layers it comes up. I am using hair spray and the bed temp right now is about 100c. Before it "peels off" the bed, the print quality looks atrocious. It seems there is too much filament being extruded and and it creates little bumps with the zig zag pattern in the first few layers. I believe there is a setting to change that, but I not completely sure. I also tried printing with cura and without the repetier host. I get the same quality with that.
P.s.
