			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Flashed mine right after I bought it! Reading this forum, it did not take much to convince me I needed to go with Repetier.92&nbsp; So that is the route I took. The best thing I&#039;ve ever done for this printer besides adding a second &quot;hot end&quot; for exotic filaments.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I haven&#039;t touched this in forever.&nbsp; I got the project done I needed so it wasn&#039;t pressing.&nbsp; I will be doing another run here soon.&nbsp; I still would prefer if I could keep this stock until I can have more time to fiddle with it.&nbsp; I do agree the repetier looks like the best idea but I won&#039;t want to make the leap of faith just yet.&nbsp; I found what is reported to be the original 1.x firmware for the da vinci.&nbsp; I want to attach it to this post but I see no option.&nbsp; Does anyone have a clue as to how I would get this onto my 2.x firmware Da Vinci 1.0A?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Simplify3d is the best, imho. Super fast slicing and great print quality.<br />It will take some time to get the right print settings for your machine but I wouldn&#039;t say it takes weeks. Maybe a few days at most. Each machine is different and might take a bit more or less time.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I have not yet flashed my Da Vinci.&nbsp; I have prepared to do so.&nbsp; I have not done it because I can&#039;t have the thing down right now.&nbsp; We are in the middle of a big project and I must be able to print flexible filament.&nbsp; My main concerns are about the settings of any new slicer.&nbsp; I have read it could take weeks to dial all the settings in.&nbsp; Has anyone experienced this?&nbsp; Are there default settings out there currently?&nbsp; Would a slicer such as Simplify3D help?&nbsp; It seems like good software but I would want to know anyone&#039;s opinion who has used it.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>My experience is in the US, I&#039;m not sure where you are.</p><p>First and foremost, email is WORTHLESS.&nbsp; Don&#039;t email XYZ or you will never hear anything back.&nbsp; </p><p>Phone is ok, but the language barrier makes it difficult.</p><p>Use this forum to figure out what is wrong.&nbsp; Troubleshooting is not really anything I have experienced with XYZ.</p><p>Register your printer through their service portal online.&nbsp; Once you know the part you need, you just send them a picture of your broken part, and they send you a new one.&nbsp; Usually about a week from email to part in hand.</p><p>Again, this is all through their online service portal.</p><p>There are LOTS of complaints about their lack of customer service, but it has been ok for me.</p><p>Just an FYI:</p><p>My 1.0a with repetier and an E3D V6/Titan combo ($550) prints just as well, or better, than my buddy&#039;s $1100 Orion Delta!!</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Agreed.&nbsp; I tried to keep mine stock until out of warranty.&nbsp; I lasted 2-3 weeks, but couldn&#039;t deal with the stock firmware anymore.&nbsp; Believe it or not, there is a &quot;self-destruct&quot; signal built in the the firmware (kind of).&nbsp; If it detects that the cartridge has been reset, it lets you keep printing, but lowers the extrusion multiplier after a few layers, so all you get is brittle, crappy prints.</p><p>The main warranty you will need is on the bed, steppers, and extruder... and they are only warrantied for 3 months!&nbsp; Guess when my extruder died?&nbsp; (about 4 months). </p><p>That having been said, I have done 2 RMA&#039;s through XYZ printing since flashing repetier (glass bed, x-axis tension).&nbsp; They don&#039;t care what firmware you are on unless you are trying to swap out the main board.&nbsp; And if you need to do that, I would imagine you could just reset the board and have nothing flashed on it at all...</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>After researching that one could hack the cartridge system for the Da Vinci I settled on buying one.&nbsp; It is decent hardware especially for the price.&nbsp; The problem I am having is that I have a very new printer (as of may 2016) which has the latest firmware (2.something).&nbsp; This firmware won&#039;t allow changing the print bed temp or nozzle temp.&nbsp; Is there a way to downgrade the firmware one a 1.0A (not a 1.0)?&nbsp; If no one knows how, does anyone have the 1.x firmware for the Da Vinci 1.0A?</p><p>I enjoy having a warranty but will resort to anything to achieve my goals.</p>]]></content>
